Welcome to the Pittsburg Historical Society, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich history of Pittsburg, New Hampshire, in the heart of the Great North Woods. For more than 40 years, the Pittsburg Historical Society has served as a steward of the town’s heritage, caring for an extensive collection of artifacts, documents, and photographs that tell the story of our community. From early gold panning and the logging era to historic schoolhouses, family farms, and generations of Old Home Day celebrations, our museum and research library help connect the past to the present for residents and visitors alike.
